Everything happens in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us.

  1. Add your details

Upload your logo, then fill in your business name and contact info, and who paid you.

  2. Set the number and date

Give the receipt a unique number in sequence and the date you received the payment.

  3. List what was paid for

Add each product or service with quantity and price, plus sales tax or a discount if you need them.

  4. Record the payment

Pick cash, check, card or transfer, add the check number or the card’s last 4 digits, then download the PDF.

What to include on a receipt

What to include on a receipt

A clear receipt answers your customer’s questions later and backs up your own records at tax time. Make sure yours has these seven things. The generator above covers all of them.

  1. Your business details. Your name or business name, address and contact info.
  2. Who paid. The customer’s name, plus an address or email if you have it.
  3. Receipt number and date. A unique receipt number in sequence and the date the payment came in.
  4. What was paid for. Each product or service with quantity, price and amount.
  5. Tax and total. The subtotal, any sales tax or discount, and the total.
  6. Amount paid. What you received. For a deposit or part payment, add the balance still due.
  7. Payment method. Cash, check, card or transfer, with the check number or the card’s last 4 digits.
